Pyrmont Festival kicks off on May 13th and runs until May 27th!


The 7th annual Pyrmont Festival kicks off on Saturday May 13th with a 15 day series of wine tasting dinners across the Pyrmont and Ultimo peninsula. Once again some of the peninsula’s best chefs have joined forces with some of the Mudgee region’s most celebrated wineries to design a series of delicious degustation menus. Each dinner will showcase the best of city sophistication and country charm. Each course is specially prepared to compliment a different Mudgee wine with a number of paired courses on offer. Diners will have the opportunity to meet the winemaker as well as the chef. Spaces are limited so hurry to secure a place at these unique, annual events.

Pyrmont’s own little slice of Florence presents great Italian food with wines from First Ridge. Three course meal $89 including matching wines. 6:30pm kick off.

WED 17 May. Made In Italy and Bunnamagoo Estate – 02 9518 8182
Made in Italy offers a four course degustation meal for only $49: Mini board of stuffed baby artichoke, Spaghetti alle Vongole, Wagyu beef Tagliata, and homemade Torroncino Semifreddo paired with Bunnamagoo Estate wines

Award winning restaurateur Muriel Chen hosts a multi course banquet at the Heritage Street Bede’s Church Hall matched to wines from Mudgee’s Gilbert Family Wines.

SUN 21 May. Metro Hotel and Moothi Estate – 02 9211 1499
The newly opened Gumtree Restaurant offers a 4 course degustation dinner of chilli chicken tenderloin; pan seared scallops; charred Riverina eye fillet; and a dessert of coconut and lime panna cotta. $80 per head. Matched with Moothi Estate wines.

WED 24 May. Apprentice and Peterson’s Wines – (02) 9217 5527
The rising stars of Sydney’s hospitality industry prepare a four course meal of Stuffed zucchini flowers, Hiramesa kingfish ceviche, Braised beef cheek and Roast pineapple matched with Peterson’s Wines. $75 per person.

THU 25 May. Flying Fish and Burnbrae Wines – (02) 9518 6677
An innovative four course dineer served in an industrial chic space with sweeping harbour views. Vanilla cured Ocean trout, Yellowfin tuna, Lamb loin and Apple mousse all matched with Burnbrae Wines. $120 per person.

SAT 27 May. Pizzaperta and di Lusso Estate – 1800 700 700
To conclude the Pyrmont Festival, Pizzaperta will offer gourmet pizza with toppings from the Pyrmont Growers Market paired with Mudgee Wines from Di Lusso Estate.
